Brow lift or Blepharoplasty?

by Naficy Rejuvenation Center

Both brow lift and upper blepharoplasty are cosmetic procedures aimed at enhancing the appearance of the upper face. However, they target different areas and address different concerns.

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that lifts the eyebrows smooths out the forehead, and open up the eyes.

On the other hand, an upper blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper eyelids. It can help to eliminate drooping eyelids, reduce puffiness, and can at times improve vision. Upper blepharoplasty does not lift the eyebrows.

To determine whether you need a brow lift or an upper blepharoplasty, you should consult with a facial plastic surgeon. During the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate your facial features, discuss your concerns, and recommend the most appropriate procedure based on your goals, expectations, and overall health.

In general, if you have drooping and hooded eyebrows and sagging skin on the forehead, a brow lift may be the best option. If you have excess skin and puffiness on the upper eyelids that make you look tired or older than your actual age, an upper blepharoplasty may be more suitable. However, in some cases, both procedures may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
