Low-Down on the New Laser Laws
The Washington State Department
of Health recently adopted new rules governing the use of Laser, Light,
Radio-Frequency and Plasma (LLRP) devices. These new rules apply to very
popular and widely used treatments such as Fotofacial,
Thermage
and Laser
Hair Removal.
A
main purpose behind the Department of Health's rule was to ensure that
operators of LLRP devices are not only qualified, but that proper
medical supervision was present and available in settings where these
medical devices are being used.
